Dr. Joanna Taylor graduated with honours from the University of Ottawa in Human Kinetics, followed by four years at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. With 8 years of clinical experience working both in Ottawa and Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Taylor has a depth of experience working with professional and amature athletes.
Dr. Taylor is experienced in treating many chronic conditions, including: Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles tendinosis, rotator cuff injuries, disc herniations and sciatic nerve pain as well as chronic neck pain and headaches.
Dr. Taylor has completed continuing education in : Active Release Techniques- A.R.T.- (Upper Limb Module), Graston Technique, Kinesiotaping, and is fully certified in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. She has also completed advanced courses in neurofunctional acupuncture and Dry Needling. Dr. Taylor uses manual Spinal and Extremity Manipulation and therapeutic excercise in the care of patients. Therapeutic techniques utilized include: Chiropractic manual adjustments of the spine and extremities, Extra Corporeal Shockwave Therapy, IMS techniques, dry needling, acupuncture and medical acupuncture protocols. Soft Tissue Therapies include Active Release Therapy, Graston Technique, and Kinesiotaping.
