Graston Technique

Graston is an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) technique used to effectively treat soft tissue injuries. Developed by athletes, it is widely used by professional athletes and teams worldwide. Graston is extremely effective in breaking up scar tissue adhesions in injuries such as plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, medial and lateral epicondylitis, trigger finger and patellar tendinitis.

The Graston instrument is used to diagnose and treat soft tissue injuries as the practitioner uses it to detect adhesions within the fascia. As the instrument is used over the affected tissue, it will eliminate the adhesions between the fascia. Over the course of 4-6 treatments, patients will typically see an increase in range of motion and restored function to the injured area.

Dr. Joanna Taylor has completed training in Graston Technique and has been successfully integrating it into her practice for over 7 years.
